First and foremost, Richard is a photographer by nature and enjoys taking photos any chance he gets.  When he's not out on assignment, Richard is often working on special photography projects, out on photo walks with fellow photographer friends, or photographing friends and family at various functions and events.

Richard's love for photography first started in the late 1990’s while serving as staff member and photographer for his high school yearbook team.  This led to Richard pursuing photography courses in college, where his work was published in his university's catalog.  Transitioning from film to digital media, Richard went from traditional 35mm film SLR cameras to digital point-and-shoot cameras and eventually to digital SLR cameras in 2007.

Today, Richard enjoys all types of photography.  He considers himself a 'shoot-it-all' photographer but specializes in photographing people (on location and in the studio) and events.  He also enjoys photographing places, things, sports, and travel photography.

His style can be described as true-to-life yet vibrant and energetic.  As Richard puts it "capturing true-to-life subjects and moments is what I do."

Although Richard is based in Southern California, he has worked and shot in some of the world's largest cities including Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, and Tokyo.
